Dr. CJ Huff is a leader in public education influencing education practice and policy on a national scale. Serving as a superintendent for 11 years, Dr. Huff founded Bright Futures USA, to increase community-wide ownership, transparency, and participation in the education and development of children and youth. The Bright Futures Framework has been nationally recognized as a “best practice” by the White House, the Corporation for National and Community Service, U.S. Department of Education, the National School Boards Association, and
the Missouri School Boards Association.
Dr. Huff was the Superintendent of Joplin City Schools in 2011, when the most costly and deadly tornado in modern American history this this city. Since then, his work in disaster response recovery as led him to be a senior advisor to the US Department of Health and Human Services.
