Join us during Academy Day (Sunday, Feb 19, 2023) for ESSDACK’s Poverty Paradigm, a simulation where participants will experience what it’s like to live in poverty for one month. Each participant will role play a person experiencing survival mode, simulated in four (4) 15-minute weeks. The results are new understandings of why families on the lower economic scale do the things they do. The goal is to initiate paradigm shifts necessary to activate great generational change.
There will be two simulation times – one from 1:00 – 3:00 pm; the next from 3:45 – 5:45 pm. Each simulation will be limited to 200 people. Academy Day is a full pre-conference day with lots of educational offerings, starting at 8:30 am on Sunday.
We want to thank ESSDACK’s Resilience Team for providing this incredible simulation and the Lone Star Community College Teachers2B program for providing volunteers to staff this event.
