Dr. Tina Payne Bryson is the author of the Bottom Line for Baby and co-author (with Dan
Siegel) of two New York Times Best Sellers —The Whole-Brain Child and No-Drama
Discipline — each of which has been translated into over fifty languages, as well as The Yes
Brain and The Power of Showing Up.
She is the Founder and Executive Director of The Center for Connection, a multidisciplinary clinical practice in Southern California. Dr. Bryson keynotes conferences and conducts workshops for parents, educators, and clinicians all over the world, and she frequently consults with schools, businesses, and other organizations.

The purpose of this professional-development session is to cultivate wellness and care for faculty and school staff. Dr. Bryson will focus on what the science says regarding tending to our own mental health and wellness, and caring for one another when we’re in such chronic states of high stress.
This seminar covers the research behind why social and emotional health is important for educators, as well as simple, practical strategies for stressing those priorities every day, both within and outside of school. Dr. Bryson will also explore what adult attachment is, what it has to do with our relationships, and the way we tell our story. We’ll also look at how attachment experiences have impacted the way our brains work.
By understanding our experiences through the lens of our attachment style and the attachment styles of other people in our lives, we can gain insight into who we are, how our relationships work, and how to change from the inside out. As part of this session, Dr. Bryson will share with teachers and administrators activity cards that can help them maintain the daily practice.
