We just got back from our site visit and we’re SO EXCITED for all of you to join us in February. Here are somethings you need to know about your visit to the Hilton Anatole:
- Many of the rooms will be brand-spankin’ new! The Tower is undergoing a renovation and will be done by our conference. The rooms are beautiful with fridges and large TVs, and very comfy.
- The Anatole is a BIG place. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a sweater. It will be easy to navigate, because most of our space is on one level…but you WILL get your steps in!
- There are great food options, both on and off-site. The Media Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and will be doing speedy lunches during our conference. The CounterOffer is an interesting blend of a market/quick grab coffee store and wine bar. It is open from 6 am – 12 am each day. (Pro tip: there’s a microwave there for heating up your leftovers.)
- Off-site restaurants are many and varied – and we’re only a couple of miles from downtown Dallas, where there are even more choices. Here are the most walkable choices:
- Pie Tap. Great craft pizzas, salads, pasta – beer & wine. (Pro tip: Tues the pies are $14 all day. And Pie Tap delivers!)
- Rodeo Goat – best burgers in Dallas along with so many other fun choices.
- El Bolero – Mexican food anyone? El Bolero is authentic with an expansive menu. (Pro tip Mondays are Margarita night and of course there’s a Taco Tuesday!)
- Ferris Wheelers Backyard & BBQ – get your Texas BBQ on with brisket, pulled pork and so much more. There’s really a Ferris Wheel too!
- More Off-Site Options:
- Slow Bone BBQ — pick up or delivery only. Authentic & near the Anatole
- The Henry Restaurant – a great neighborhood restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
- Katy Trail Ice House – an Austin-style beer garden and restaurant in uptown Dallas on the Katy Trail
- Dolce Riviera – Fine Italian for dinner or brunch
- Si Tapas – Delicious traditional Spanish Tapas with a modern twist
- Avila’s Restaurant – Mexican cuisine featured on Guy Fieri’s Triple D
- Bowlounge— Bowling, food, drinks…what more could you want? How about 1/2 price bowling and tacos on Tuesday?
- Carbone – Dallas – upscale Italian-American Restaurant
- Mama’s Daughters’ Diner — Meat and 3 and so much more.
- Community Beer Co. Kitchen – Lunch & Dinner (Wed- Sun only)
- Street’s Fine Chicken – chicken & waffles, chicken fried steak and more
- The Standard Pour – Neighborhood craft cocktails and dining destination — modern American cuisine – Dinner
- Getting around is best by car. If you’re driving (or renting a car) there’s ample parking at a 50% discount for those staying at the hotel. There are plenty of ride-share possibilities and many of the restaurants surrounding the hotel have reasonable delivery options.
- An amazing Art Collection. The Hilton Anatole is known for its grand collection of Asian art and museum pieces. Be sure to explore them all…and play along with us on our fun Scavenger Hunt (where some lucky sleuths will win prizes!)
- Pamper yourself at the Verandah Club & Fitness facility where you can access fitness rooms, an indoor pool and classes, along with full spa services.
- There are two main airports in Dallas – Dallas Love (DAL) is only 10 minutes away and Dallas-Ft. Worth International (DFW) is 20 minutes. Ride shares and shuttles are the transportation options.
