Respectful Ways Trauma-Informed SEL Program Vetted by ATN

ATN is excited to announce

strategic alliances with our trusted partners.

Respectful Ways Social Emotional Learning Program.

The Attachment & Trauma Network (ATN) has partnered with Respectful Ways to update its PreK–12 Social Emotional Learning curriculum to be trauma-informed.
ATN’s trained trauma-informed specialists conducted a comprehensive review and update of all Respectful Ways lesson plans, classroom materials, and digital student programming to ensure alignment with nationally recognized trauma-informed practices. All educator-led lessons and student digital modules were vetted and approved through this process, resulting in a fully trauma-informed SEL system schools can implement with confidence.

Research shows that nearly one in two American students has experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), which can significantly impact behavior, learning, and emotional regulation in the classroom. Respectful Ways was designed specifically to help schools respond proactively, providing daily SEL instruction, practical behavior-support strategies, and consistent language that builds student resilience, empathy, and self-management skills.

Respectful Ways and ATN maintain an ongoing professional partnership. Respectful Ways participates in ATN national conferences and training events, ensuring continued alignment with evolving trauma-informed research and best practices. Schools also have access to customized SEL programming and professional learning workshops for all school staff, blending trauma-informed strategies with practical classroom application.

Together, ATN and Respectful Ways share a mission: supporting student well-being, strengthening educator capacity, and building healthier school communities.
