Bring Your Whole Team to CTSS2026

The Creating Trauma-Sensitive Schools Conference is best experienced TOGETHER! So bringing as many of your team as possible is the BEST way to plan for this year’s CTSS2026 in Dallas, TX.  Our group rate starts with only seven (7) people buying tickets at once.

Here are our tips for getting the most out of this conference when you bring a team of educators.

TIP 1:  Divide and Conquer.  With five (5) workshops in each session time, there is so much to choose from at CTSS2026.  Making sure that the team “spreads out” during each session is the best practice for getting the most out of the conference.

TIP 2: Make Time to Debrief.  We often find teams meeting in the Exhibit Hall or hallways during breaks and right after the last session of the afternoon.  Taking time to quickly debrief what you learned each day is a great way to re-connect and share.  Teams often take this much farther with more formal debriefing and presenting of what you learned to each other.  We encourage our speakers to have handouts and share sources and resources.  And all those resource materials are available for download in our conference app.

TIP 3: Plan to Attend the In-Betweens.  By “in-betweens” we mean the Saturday night Kick-Off in the Exhibit Hall and any experiential or extra events that are planned.  Again, your whole team doesn’t have to participate, but sending someone to everything you can is a great strategy.

TIP 4: Take Ample Time to Visit the Exhibit Hall and Book Store. There are so many things to learn from the organizations who sponsor and exhibit at CTSS2026.  It’s important that you don’t skimp on time to actually talk with the exhibitors about their work.  You may find just what you need to propel your school’s trauma-informed journey.

TIP 5: Add Academy Day and/or Leadership Summit to your Schedule.  You’re already headed to Dallas.  Join us on Saturday for a day of deep learning.  There’s something for everyone.  Our NEW Leadership Summit is filling up, and is a GREAT choice for the administrators and team leaders who will be implementing system change.

The final tip for everyone – whether you have a team with you are not – is to take advantage of our Summer Schedule and the Fabulous Amenities at the Hilton Anatole.  Because your room fees include access to the Jade Waters Water Park and Spa, we are limiting our afternoon events to give you a chance for rejuvenation.  Being trauma-sensitive is only possible if we take care of ourselves.  We encourage you to take care of you!  We know feeling safe and connected help our students learn…the same is true for us!  Please take advantage of these opportunities and meet the other educators from across the country who are doing the same!
